I am running for the Cornwall seat on the Addison Central School District Board of Directors. I’d like to tell you a bit about myself and ask for your vote on Town Meeting Day, March 7th.

I am a consensus builder with the skills to bring people with differing perspectives together to tackle tough problems. I am committed to doing the work necessary to achieve thoughtful solutions to the challenges facing our district. Equitable solutions for all of our students and teachers. Supportive solutions that meet the needs of our diverse community.

Building Consensus

As a Project Manager for a Laboratory Automation company, an Assistant Professor collaborating on a research endeavor, or a board member for a local Non-Profit, I've been successful in bringing groups of people together to tackle tough problems. I've found that listening to all parties with respect and evaluating ideas thoughtfully, without judgement, forms allows groups to come together.

Creating Equitable Solutions

Seeking new ways to meet the needs of our teachers and students, I commit to evaluate ideas and proposed solutions with care. Recognizing that one solution may not satisfy needs of the whole community. I am skilled at listening to understand and synthesizing creative solutions so each student has access to the resources they need.

Supporting our Diverse Community

Cultivating an understanding of the unique identities and interests of our students to support their growth and learning. Those differences are an asset to embrace and I will promote a welcoming learning environment. I pledge to honor the unique challenges faced by students across the district when considering policies and strategic planning.
